Just a quick note as we are collecting back at the hotel to leave Florence and return to Rome. We visited the Academia this morning. This is the home of Michaelangelo's David, which is really quite impressive. It is magnificently displayed under its own dome and at the end of the Michaelangelo gallery. Some of the girls later went on a bike tour, while others went.... wait for it.... shopping. The bus will be a little fuller heading back south.

I hope with all the shopping souvenirs for people back home were remembered. Sounds like a great trip so far. The pics make the weather look like it's been good. keep up the good posts

The pictures and the commentary are great ! There is nothing like shopping in Italy...can't blame the girls for taking full advantage... but perhaps we should remind them that there is a weight limit on the luggage.
