Florence - What a Beautiful City!

Gathering for our guided walking tour of Florence. We spent the whole day on foot and put in quite a few kilometers. The weather cooperated to a spectacular extent for us again. We visited many of the important sights of Florence including the Piazza de la Signoria, Piazza de la Republica, the Ponte Vechio, the Palazzo de la Signoria, Dante's house, Michaelangelo's Florence residence, Il Duomo church, and more.

Here is a roof-top view of Il Duoma church that took 140 years to complete. We visited the inside and walked around the three buildings - the baptistry, the church itself, and the bell tower. Hard to believe that buildings this massive could have been built without cranes or electricity.
